Plate and cube trunnions are add-on accessories for rotary tables or indexers that will allow multiple part positioning in a tilting, dual-axis set up. The plate has a machineable area on two surfaces with an adjustable centerline to accommodate various part heights. The cube is a solid aluminum block. One end of the plate or cube is supported with a bearing pillow block, while the other end mounts in or on the spindle of the rotary table or indexer.

The plates can be configured for many different gripping applications. Load up the fixture plate with collet blocks, configure with clamping devices, or customize a window box fixture allowing 4-sided part machining to increase your parts production. Setting up a plate for multiple-part processing will increase your output. All parts can be machined efficiently with the same tool before going to the next tool. Loading up a second plate or cube and having it ready to replace the finished one will maximize your cutting time.

The combination of a Hardinge rugged bearing spindle indexer and a permanent robust bearing pillow block assure rigid, accurate positioning. An optional pillow block clamp is available for larger models when tilting heavy parts and performing high-force cutting applications. A full 360° revolution can be utilized, depending on part clearance.

Hardinge plates are manufactured of free-machining blackened steel for ease of milling, drilling and slotting according to the application requirements, either by Hardinge or by the customer. Plate and cube trunnions can be field installed to any existing Hardinge rotary table or indexer and other brands with a 5C threaded-nose or A2-5 spindle. Custom manufacturing is available.

Modular collet blocks are ideal for high-precision work. Collet blocks will center the part automatically for accurate part positioning and provide maximum rigidity for tooling pressures.
